ALE Summer 2001 No. 303

Contributors wanted

As you may have noticed, this issue is a little thinner than usual. The reason? Simple, it's all I had to publish! So to fill up the files and broaden our coverage a bit, I'd like to start a regular pub review feature. Which of course means that someone has to do some writing. Do you know of an excellent pub that doesn't get a proper mention in ALE? Or doesn't get a mention at all? Well why not write and tell us all about it?

And just in case the prospect of seeing your name in print isn't incentive enough, I'm sure we could rustle up a couple of free beer tokens for one of our festivals for all reviews published. [This offer does not extend to members of the committee because (a) they are duty bound to support the ALE editor and (b) they should be earning their discounted beer by working anyway - but this should in no way be seen as an excuse for not writing!]

Other articles or even letters are welcome, too. Contributions can be sent to me by post (52 Tenison Road, Cambridge CB1 2DW) or e-mail (beery_spice@hotmail.com), in any format, including handwriting (so long as I can read it). The editor reserves the right to edit contributions.

I'm simply dying to hear from you!
Steve Linley, ALE editor
