Jet Black Launch

The City of Cambridge Brewery and the Cambridge & District Branch of CAMRA organised the official launch of the Brewery's second beer, Jet Black, on Thursday 6th November at 7.30pm at the Brewery.

This was timed so that press coverage coincided with CAMRA's National Mild Day on Saturday 8th.

Around 60 people attended and the Mayor, Coun. Daphne Roper, welcomed the return of commercial brewing to the City after 25 years.

Jet Black (ABV 3.7%) is a very tasty Mild, well-rounded and satisfying as anyone who's enjoyed the Brewery's first beer, Hobson's Choice (4.1%), would expect.

At the ceremony the Brewery also received its certificate for Champion Beer of the 24th Cambridge Beer Festival: Hobson's Choice, which has also won 3rd prize at the Scunthorpe Beer Festival.

The next beer to be brewed - the amber-coloured Atom Splitter (4.7%) - will be appearing in pubs during November.
