Cambridge & District CAMRA
Branch Success at the National AGM!
Membership Recruitment Award 1998
At the CAMRA AGM in April 1999, the Cambridge & District Branch
received the Membership Recruitment Award 1998
for the large branches category, having recruited the most new members in past year
amongst those branches.
At the latest count (the branch membership mailout in April) there were 375
members, up from around 300 a year before.
Thanks to all concerned!
The membership fees greatly aid the national campaigning cause and the extra people
are starting to make a difference to local activities (though more activitists
are always welcome!). 3% of the branch membership are year-round activists, 4% including
Beer Festival workers.
Nationally, membership is steadily increasing and is now over 54,000, up
4,000 in about two years:
