Victory in Dome Beer Battle

Following statements by the New Millennium Experience Company (the Dome operators) that there would not be a British pub in the Dome, and the widespread ridicule that followed, there has been a guarded backtracking and rethinking. And the odd sacking?

CAMRA led the protest, calling for the Dome to feature the best of British beer. Now the NMEC has announced that the provisionally entitled "Inn at the Dome" will "serve the best traditionally brewed and popular beers from Lands End to John O'Groats." If this subsequently turns out to be a Whitbread selection of bland national concept beers, the protests will continue. Britain is world-renowned for brewing fine beers and visitors to the Dome must be allowed to experience some of them.
