- GK stopped using hop oils several years ago and now increasingly dry hop (hence the thankful disappearance of that "greasy" flavour from IPA in particular)
- They have flogged off 3% of their pub stock in the last year and are watching market conditions carefully vis-a-vis future sales
- They had no idea that Wetherspoons were going to sell IPA for 99p a pint. Sales to 'spoons were at the usual price and it was sold by them as a loss leader.
Beers from Archers, the Swindon brewery, used to be common round here and still crop up from time. Sadly, the company has gone into administration for the second time in two years so its future looks uncertain.
