ALE Spring 2001 No. 301

Christian Muteau

The Branch was saddened to hear of the passing of Christian Muteau, who was found dead in his flat early in February, aged 62.

A dedicated volunteer, Christian was well known at many beer festivals all across the country, including both Cambridge festivals, either manning the door or helping out in the finance office. He was also a tireless worker for the charities Get Kids Going and Macmillan Cancer Relief, and a notable cricket-lover, acting as scorer for amongst others the Lords and Commons Cricket Club: 40 MPs have signed an Early Day Motion regretting the passing of his immaculate and stylish scoring.

He will be sorely missed in many quarters.
